Eötvös Loránd University is ranked among the best universities in the world in three of the five broad subject areas assessed by the QS Rankings: natural sciences (287th), arts and humanities (351st), and social sciences (383rd), and has advanced significantly in all three disciplines since last year. ELTE has campuses throughout Budapest, including one in the city centre, allowing students to immerse themselves in the city's vibrant cultural and intellectual life. The university also has a rural campus in Szarvas that is used for agricultural, environmental, and natural sciences research and education.
ELTE provides courses in both Hungarian and English. The university places a strong emphasis on internationalization and welcomes students from around the world.
