The Budapest Metropolitan University was established in 2000, and education began a year later with 126 students in the fields of Communication and Business Communication. Its first graduation ceremony was held in 2005.

This university has four different campuses in various parts of Budapest, including the Rózsa Street Campus, Nagy Lajos Király Street Campus, InfoPark D campus, and InfoPark I campus.

It is the first institute in Hungary to introduce a portfolio-based system. This system means that during your university studies, you complete real professional tasks that can later be included in your CV and presented during job interviews.
