Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) was founded in 1635 and is Hungary's oldest and largest university.

It is well-known worldwide, and its programs are accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Board. Diplomas from Eötvös Loránd University are internationally recognized, and course credits are transferable to all European Union countries.

It is Hungary's largest scientific institution, offering 118 PhD programs at 17 doctoral schools as well as 38 bachelor's programs, 96 master's programs, and more than 50 degree programs in foreign languages.
